Shooting Kayla and Kylea ended up being an exercise in thinking on the fly. Portland was sliding around like a headless chicken on ice trying to recover from the snowstorm that had happened earlier in the week and it turned out that the road to Hoyt Arboretum where I had planned to shoot was blocked off. After a quick discussion, we decided to head for another nearby park area in NW Portland, but that also ended up being closed. Eventually we just drove as close to Forest Park as we could get, abandoned the car, and walked a ways down a closed road and slippery path. Although the shoot went very quickly because of the cold, Kayla and Kylea were real troopers (also just super photogenic) and kept a great attitude throughout the day's many ups and downs.
