New website, new blog post! And I can't think of a better way to celebrate it than by sharing some photos from my most recent wedding. I met Natalie and Joe through a mutual friend who I used to sing with, and for me it was love at first meet - they were so chill, and all I wanted was for us to be friends! Their Oregon coast wedding, from the ceremony on the beach in Manzanita under the shadow of Neahkanie Mountain to the reception that followed at North Fork 53, was obscen
The gang and I went on an incredibly fun camping trip to Fish Lake in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest for about 6 days and it was a great excuse to photograph the friends. I convinced Adriana to wade into the frigid lake water and Kaylie agreed to climb atop a mass of wood, the structural soundness of which was questionable. Anyway, they're good sports. #Forest #Portraits #Lake #Ethereal #Summer #Sunset #Misty
Shooting with the daughter of one of my favorite professors who was also my academic advisor and all-around life mentor was just about the best thing ever. Seriously though, when did high school students get so cool? I don't know if it's just the fact that I'm living in Portland now, but I definitely was a lot less awesome when I was a senior in high school. Anyway, we had a ton of fun spending the afternoon walking around Lower Macleay Park and NW 23rd - it was a blast!
I had the pleasure of singing with Rita for several years in college and so I was absolutely thrilled when she asked me to take engagement photos for her and her new fiancé, Ellis. Although it took us a number of months to find a time that we could both make work, we finally managed to nail down a date and had a really delightful morning walking along the Lower Macleay Trail in Forest Park. #ForestPark #Summer #Engagement #Portraits
What do you do when you've never done much engagement photography, but want to build your portfolio? Wrangle a couple of your most platonically-in-love friends and make them kiss on a log while doing a dip! Seriously, this shoot in Forest Park on the trail to the Witch's Castle was so much fun and Mason and Maia are so cute and have have such good chemistry together despite them both being in committed relationships with other people. Anyway, thanks for humoring me - you t
I've wanted to shoot with Maritte for years - I've always loved her ethereal and bohemian style - and now that we're all good and graduated, we finally had time to do it! For this creative shoot, we decided to haul a big pink armchair from Goodwill out into the middle of Tryon Creek State Park (don't worry, we also hauled it back out - it was awful : D). Anyway, Maritte was great to work with and we had a lot of fun! #TryonCreek #ForestFairy #Bohemian #Furniture #Ethereal #
